Description

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, a Weaver Green herringbone rug in Dormouse is the perfect option for anyone embracing the calming natural tones of taupe in their home. This soft, neutral colour combined with a classic, easy on the eye, zig zag pattern creates a beautiful, textured herringbone rug that is stain resistant, water resistant and machine washable.

Hand woven by craftsmen and women and made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, our herringbone rugs are incredibly soft to the touch and great for use in lower traffic areas like living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms.

Because they are made entirely from recycled plastic, all of our herringbone rugs are moth and dust mite resistant making them brilliant for pets owners and allergy sufferers. They’re immune to red wine spills and messy toddlers and can be machine washed at 30 degrees, emerging beautifully clean and almost dry.

Best of all, just one herringbone rug can save as many as 3000 single use plastic bottles from going to landfill. After all, a great herringbone rug shouldn't cost the earth.

Putting your rug on a wooden or stone floor? Why not add our non-slip rug underlay to keep your rug in place – perfect for busy hallways.

We only use weaving houses that are independently inspected for fair employment practices. That means they are committed to employing skilled adults who are paid fairly and enjoy comfortable and fair working conditions. By turning used plastic bottles into beautiful fabric bags, we’re able to create jobs and take small steps towards reducing the catastrophic impact of the disposable plastic bottle industry.

All our textiles and rugs are hand loomed, so some variations in colour and size can be expected. If you are ordering a rug for a specific sized area, please contact us before ordering so we can check measurements before sending your order out to you.

Pilling

Please note that as we have designed our recycled plastic bottle yarn to look and feel like natural wool, some pilling can occur particularly in our softer weaves (Diamond, Herringbone and Provence), as can some yarn snagging on our looser weaves. We advise that our softer Diamond, Herringbone, Brighton Stripe, Oslo and Provence weaves are used in low traffic areas including bedrooms and bathrooms rather than hallways and busy living areas.

For a more resilient pet friendly weave look at our tighter woven and harder wearing JunoKasbahIrisAndalucia and Nomad ranges.

Cleaning guide - hoover loose debris (we recommend to use a lower suction setting without the brush function) then either hand wash using a light detergent, or smaller rugs up to the size 180cm x 120cm can also be machine washed at home in a domestic sized drum at 30 degrees, using a non – biological washing detergent. For larger rugs, 240cm x 170cm and 300cm x 250cm they can easily be washed in a commercial sized drum at your local laundrette under the same temperature settings, or taken outside and hand washed and hosed down. Our rugs come out of the machine virtually dry, so simply allow to air dry naturally on your line. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.

100% recycled, environmentally friendly, ethically produced, practical and gorgeous rugs and textiles...
