Our Scandinavian inspired, olive green herringbone rug is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Great for living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and summer houses, this classic herringbone design makes a beautiful, patterned rug that is stain resistant, water resistant and machine washable.
Saving as many as 3000 plastic bottles from landfill, our herringbone rugs are hand woven by craftsmen and women and look and feel just like wool. Thanks to their plastic properties however, all of our rugs are easy to clean and moth and dust mite resistant, making them brilliant for pets owners and allergy sufferers.
Machine washable at 30 degrees, a Weaver Green herringbone rug is the perfect option for households under attack from messy toddlers and the occasional red wine spillage.
Putting your rug on a wooden or stone floor? Order our non-slip rug underlay to keep your rug in place – perfect for busy hallways.
We only use weaving houses that are independently inspected for fair employment practices. That means they are committed to employing skilled adults who are paid fairly and enjoy comfortable and fair working conditions. By turning used plastic bottles into beautiful fabric bags, we’re able to create jobs and take small steps towards reducing the catastrophic impact of the disposable plastic bottle industry.
All our textiles and rugs are hand loomed, so some variations in colour and size can be expected. If you are ordering a rug for a specific sized area, please contact us before ordering so we can check measurements before sending your order out to you.
Please note that as we have designed our recycled plastic bottle yarn to look and feel like natural wool, some pilling can occur particularly in our softer weaves (Diamond, Herringbone and Provence), as can some yarn snagging on our looser weaves. We advise that our softer Diamond, Herringbone, Brighton Stripe, Oslo and Provence weaves are used in low traffic areas including bedrooms and bathrooms rather than hallways and busy living areas.
Cleaning guide - hoover loose debris (we recommend to use a lower suction setting without the brush function) then either hand wash using a light detergent, or smaller rugs up to the size 180cm x 120cm can also be machine washed at home in a domestic sized drum at 30 degrees, using a non – biological washing detergent. For larger rugs, 240cm x 170cm and 300cm x 250cm they can easily be washed in a commercial sized drum at your local laundrette under the same temperature settings, or taken outside and hand washed and hosed down. Our rugs come out of the machine virtually dry, so simply allow to air dry naturally on your line. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.
