Cleaning and care

Washing

Our Marseille Duck Egg Aprons can be washed either by hand with a light detergent, or pop them in the washing machine on a 30-40 degree cycle using non-biological washing detergent.

Allow to air dry naturally. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.

Microfibres

While the majority of our products are fully machine washable, we urge you to only do so when they really need it. This small step will significantly reduce the impact of microfibre shedding and prolong the life of your products. Read more about that here: Tackling Microfibres.

Pilling

Our recycled plastic yarn is designed to look and feel every bit as soft and luxurious as French linen. That means some pilling may occur over time.

As with all products that pill after use, we recommend using a pilling comb or fabric trimmer as and where needed.

Featuring a useful double front pocket, our Marseille Blue Linen Aprons have the look and feel of a natural fabric yet, thanks to being made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, they're immune to dirt and spills and will emerge from the wash as good as new.

Long enough to protect your trousers from stains and spills, our gorgeous take on a classic linen apron offers the kind of practicality and versatility you'd expect from a man-made fabric but with all the style and comfort of real French linen.

Featuring a simple striped pattern and beautiful washed-out blue tones, they're just as well suited to life as a kitchen apron as they are behind deli counters, in cafes and restaurants, art studios or out in the garden.

  • 100% recycled plastic

Our faux French linen is made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.

  • Machine washable

When it's time for a freshen up machine wash our linen at 30-40 degrees.

  • Great for gardens

Thanks to their recycled plastic nature they're suitable for outdoor use.

Laid-back linen

Our gorgeous French linen textiles are hand-woven using only our amazing recycled plastic yarn. With all the softness and texture of natural cotton, these beautiful products have the added benefit of being stain and water-resistant.

Use them all around the home or outside in the garden. Moth larvae won't eat them, mould won't grow on them, dust mites won't nest in them and any spills or marks can be washed out at 40 degrees.

Wonderfully woven

Marseille Duck Egg Aprons are skillfully hand-woven by craftspeople who are paid fairly and provided with comfortable working conditions.

Every piece of faux French linen is hand-loomed using our amazing recycled plastic yarn which we've designed to offer all the charm of natural fabrics. As a result, every product is unique meaning some minor variations in colour and size can be expected.
