With the announcement that Pantones much heralded colour of the year in 2019 will be 'Living Coral', we're pleased to introduce you to our Weaver Green living coral rugs and textiles, that not only hit the right colour palette, but also ensure that our coral reefs stay alive and don't drown under more ocean borne plastic waste.
We are hugely excited to unveil our brand new, beautiful yet practical, indoor and outdoor rugs and textiles, made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.
Weaver Green textiles look and feel like wool, but are crafted by weaving together strands of recycled plastic bottles to create stunning, environmentally friendly accessories for your home and garden.
Last month we launched our new range of beautiful indoor/outdoor textiles at London's prestigious Top Drawer show and received a fantastic response to our collection of rugs and bags made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.
Our eco-friendly textiles are created by shredding and spinning recycled plastic bottles into colourful yarn, which is then hand weaved into beautiful, soft and environmentally friendly rugs and textiles with all the practicality of plastic, but the look and soft feel of wool or jute.
We love that our beautiful range of indoor/outdoor textiles provides a fabulous way to recycle plastic bottles, helping to reduce the amount of plastic waste that ends up in the world’s oceans. However it’s equally important to us that our handmade textiles are crafted ethically, by artisans working with weaving partners who are committed to fair working conditions.
We source our design-led rugs and bags from around the world, including Turkey, Scandinavia and India. All of our suppliers are small, family owned cooperatives that are committed to employing skilled adults, who are paid fairly and enjoy comfortable and fair working conditions, which ensures that our textiles have been crafted without child labour.
